The following tutorial shows how to create a helmet in SIemens NX, using the basic commands of the software. You can follow the tutorial to create it.
First, create the following sketch on the YZ datum plane, here we will use two spline curves for this. And label the detailed dimensional constraints.
Next, we create the following curve on the XZ datum plane with the detailed dimensional constraints as follows:
Switch to the Curve toolbar and use the Spline Curve command to create the curve shown below.
Create a new sketch, in the XY datum plane, here to create a spline curve before, first use the “Intersection Point” command to create the following Figure 1 in the four datum and the curve of the intersection point. Then according to these 4 intersection points, create the spline curve.
Create a new datum plane, select the XY datum plane with an offset of 30mm. to get the new datum plane.
Create a new sketch on the datum plane created above, create the sketch in the same way as step 4, is the same method.
Continue to create a datum plane, select the XY datum plane, offset 130mm, to get a new datum plane; and create a new sketch on this new datum plane, as shown below;
Use the Mesh Surface command to create a surface as shown below.
Use the Fill Surface command to create the surface shown in the following figure to complete the overall surface.
Create a sketch of the following dimensions in the XZ datum plane and use this sketch to pull out a new surface that will be used later as a clipping surface;
Use the surface trimming command to trim off the lower portion of the main surface to get the effect shown below;
Create a new datum plane, using curves and points, as shown below;
On the datum plane created above, create the following sketch and use the Stretch command to cut out the material, the effect is shown in Figure 3 below:
Continue to create a new datum plane based on the curve and point approach and on this datum plane create a sketch with the following dimensions;
Using the pass through curve command, create the following surface;
Finally, we stitch all the surfaces together and add a thickness of 2mm to the surface treatment:
